The partnership is comprised of municipal police departments, the Pennsylvania State Police, PennDOT, the US Department of Transportation and community groups and organizations. Motorcycle Tip Cards![]() Even though it´s February and we have lots of snow, spring will be arriving next month. PAADEEP tracks and encourages motorcycle violation enforcement. Violation Tip Cards for police officers are available for participating PAADEEP police departments. The tip cards show most common motorcycle violations. Contact your LEL for more information.
On the ScannerArea 3 Activities![]() A coordinated aggressive driving program took place in region 3 on July 22. Roughly, twenty-five police departments, plus the Pennsylvania State Police took part in this program. Coordinated efforts increase profile and help to get media exposure. PAADEEP tries to have one such event in each region during each wave. "Skid Monster" at Eastern Pike PD Safety Day![]() Delaware Valley School District Driver Education instructor Joseph Sain gave practical instruction to drivers on cars skidding on ice. This demonstration was part of Eastern Pike Regional Police Department´s Safety Day event held on June 12, 2010. The “Skid Monster” has instructor-controlled casters instead of rear wheels and allows students to experience skidding on ice or wet roads. Driver education teacher Joe Sain explained that this useful tool allows driver education instructors at the school to show students the three-pronged maneuver of how to avoid an object, counter-steer, and return to the correct lane. 4x4 AD Enforcement Signs In UsePosted By: Robert Webre on 7 June Laflin Borough, Luzerne County police use their 4x4 aggressive driving enforcement sign on a speed detail. Kittanning Boro/ Armstrong County ENRADDPosted By: Alan Puccetti on 13 May On May 11th, Kittanning Boro PD in Armstrong County, a participating aggressive driving department, took delivery of their ENRADD unit. This was done as a result of borrowing a unit from Clarion Boro/ Clarion County and showcasing its ease of operation, ability to conceal and advantages over other speed timing devises to the mayor and council. With a little rearranging of the police budget, it was decided that it was an easy choice to purchase the ENRADD. Training was provided by Dave Shultz, training coordinator for YIS/Cowden Group. The training took place in Kittanning Boro council chambers. Tag Team - Take 2 Aggressive Driving EnforcementPosted By: James Marsh on 12 May ![]() Law enforcement from 7 PSP troops and 46 municipal police departments paid special attention to drivers on Rts. 22, 28, 21 and 279 for Tag Team - Take 2 enforcement. The campaign ran from May 6 - May 11 and targeted aggressive and impaired drivers. Anyone unbuckled motorist stopped and ticketed for speeding or another offense received a second citation for not buckling up. ENRADD Training AvailablePosted By: Robert Webre on 29 April ENRADD training was held in April for twelve officers at the Upper Saucon Township Police Department in Lehigh County.
