Kittanning Boro/ Armstrong County ENRADDPosted By: Alan Puccetti on 13 May On May 11th, Kittanning Boro PD in Armstrong County, a participating aggressive driving department, took delivery of their ENRADD unit. This was done as a result of borrowing a unit from Clarion Boro/ Clarion County and showcasing its ease of operation, ability to conceal and advantages over other speed timing devises to the mayor and council. With a little rearranging of the police budget, it was decided that it was an easy choice to purchase the ENRADD. Training was provided by Dave Shultz, training coordinator for YIS/Cowden Group. The training took place in Kittanning Boro council chambers. Heavy Truck Enforcement on Rt. 19Posted By: Alan Puccetti on 5 April On March 11, 2010 while Officer Zach Kirsch was running an AD detail on Route 19, he observed a tractor/ trailer on a feeder road that has a weight restriction on it, knowing that this vehicle is not permitted on this roadway he initiated a traffic stop. Officer Kirsch is seen here advised the operator of the violation. Chief Len Keller backed up Office Kirsch, Chief Keller was working the AD detail as enforcement & they have a vehicle that is equipped to carry the scales, which he was operating. Officer Chris Linville, weight master for Jackson Township, noted the weight of front axle. Officer Linville completed the weighting task while explaining the process to the violator. Vehicle was 46,154 pounds over limit. Fine of: $13,200.00. Violator has requested a hearing. Region 4 LEL Butch Puccetti was conducting a ride along with Chief Keller and observed this enforcement taking place.
