TACT Enforcement on Rt 70

Pennsylvania State Police TACT (Ticketing Aggressive Cars & Trucks) kicked off on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Claysville Rest Area on US 70. PSP dignitaries from Troop B in Washington and Harrisburg attended the event along with US DOT MCSAP officials. The Ohio Highway Patrol and West Virginia State Police were on hand to support the aggressive driving efforts of the PA State Police. The educational period began on June 8th with Pitt Ohio trucks that carried the “Leave Room for Trucks” message traveling east and westbound on the interstate. Variable message boards were placed at strategic locations along the route from mile marker 11 into Westmoreland County. Targeted enforcement began on Monday, June 15th and will continue until August 7th.
